The 15th Florence Biennale, which will take place from 18 to 26 October 2025, is dedicated to the primal, timeless union between light and darkness, which has always been at the centre of artistic, as well as scientific, philosophical and literary research. Object of study and reflection by many of the most brilliant thinkers in human history, from Heraclitus, Pythagoras and Aristotle to Leonardo da Vinci and Galileo, to Newton, Maxwell and Einstein, light represents not only a physical phenomenon but also a concept that is fundamental to life itself, connecting the macrocosm and the microcosm. Prompting us to contemplate the connection between what happens in our finite and fragile terrestrial world and what is inherent in the vastness of the universe. Architectural works of ancient civilizations, such as Stonehenge, Mayan temples and the pyramids of Giza, have long demonstrated the attention and devotion of our ancestors to sunlight, and the latter – representing the most visible and tangible manifestation of the luminous phenomenon on our planet – has always been a focus for artists.

The collection of the Uffizi Museum is too attractive. With the wonderful explanation of the tour guide Coco, we have more awareness of the collection of the museum among the four of us. It is worth mentioning that Coco&#39;s expertise is very strong. Looking at these famous paintings, it is really not understandable without the tour guide.
