The March edition of The Wonders of Wakefield - 21 mile Circular Cycle Ride C will commence from the beautiful Anglers Country Park in Wakefield. Situated at the end of Haw Park Lane, Wakefield, WF4 2EE, this picturesque location offers parking facilities, however, parking charges do apply.

The WoW ride encompasses a 21-mile, predominantly traffic-free cycle trail that showcases some of the most significant sites of historical and cultural importance within the district. This extraordinary trail allows cyclists to immerse themselves in the breathtaking Wakefield countryside, capturing the essence of its charm. Along the way, participants will encounter iconic landmarks steeped in history, while also having the opportunity to witness the diverse wildlife that thrives on the outskirts of the city.

In the spirit of unity, the ride operates as a group, ensuring no one is left behind. Additionally, a delightful stop at one of the charming cafes along the route is scheduled, providing participants with the chance to enjoy a refreshing beverage and engage in friendly conversation.

The WoW rides take place on the first Sunday of each month, starting from various locations in rotation. These include The Hepworth, Nostell NT, Anglers, and Pugneys. Notably, in August 2024, a special event will be held at Pugneys to commemorate the WoW as part of WMDC's Our Year celebration.
