This time I came to Kingston, Canada, and chose to stay at Rosemont Guest House, mainly because I wanted to experience the rare century-old building in the city, while enjoying the most authentic breakfast. As soon as you get off your feet, you are surrounded by the red and yellow maple forests around you, and the air is completely devoid of city flavor - every bite is strong and fresh, making it the first choice for travelers who like nature and humanities.
Located in the heart of the city, 46 Sydenham St, Rosemont Guest House is just walking distance from Kingston’s main business district, waterfront and tourist attractions. I usually want to go for a walk at Kingston Waterfront, which is only a few minutes away. Even if it rains, you can find small shops nearby to avoid the rain, take maple leaf portraits, and feel the old city feeling all around.
The hotel itself is a century-old building, the decoration retains the classical warm style, delicate and does not feel dilapidated. Hallways, stairs, and shared spaces have characteristic designs that are worth slowly appreciating. The rooms were quiet and completely noise-free the night of our stay, perfect for resting. And some rooms also have fireplaces, oversized viewing windows, and on a good day you can look at the maple leaves all over the ground and bask in the sun, even if it rains.
What I look forward to every day is the traditional Canadian breakfast served by the hotel, which is fresh and filling. The bread, eggs, and ingredients are all very thoughtful, and the taste and appearance are satisfying. Even if you are not particularly a breakfast lover, you will reminisce after trying it. The environment of the common space is clean and tidy, and there are all kinds of facilities. Some corners are especially suitable for taking pictures.
