The Opera House is proud to present the worldwide success, Sweeney Todd, at the Cultural Center. This thrilling and captivating production, awarded eight Tony's including Best Musical, has enthralled audiences across the globe. The talented team of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler, known for their exceptional work in A Little Night Music and Pacific Overtures, have combined their genius to create a truly unforgettable experience.

Sweeney Todd tells the infamous tale of an exiled barber seeking vengeance in nineteenth century London. After being framed and witnessing the ruin of his wife, Todd is determined to make the lecherous judge pay. Along his path of revenge, he crosses paths with Mrs. Lovett, the resourceful proprietress of a struggling pie shop. As Todd's thirst for blood intensifies, Mrs. Lovett's fortunes change when she incorporates a peculiar ingredient into her pies, drawing the people of London in droves. And thus, the carnage begins.

We are thrilled to have a guest production team of Broadway veterans leading this production. Directed by the talented Brian Michael Hoffman and featuring the masterful musical direction of Andy Hudson, this rendition of Sweeney Todd promises to be truly exceptional. Marguerite Willbanks, another esteemed guest artist, will provide her expertise as Assistant Director and Choreographer.
