Experience the opening reception of Marilyn Artus' HER FLAG on August 10, 2024, which will be held at Epiphany Center for the Arts in Chicago. HER FLAG project aims to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and sheds light on the 72-year struggle for women's voting rights in the United States. Marilyn Artus is a mixed media artist and equality activist. Collaborating with female artists from the 36 states that ratified the amendment, Artus has crafted an 18 x 26 foot flag displayed at prestigious locations like the Clinton Presidential Library and the National Museum for Women’s Arts. Making its premiere in Chicago, HER FLAG is an education on women's suffrage and voting history, emphasizing the ongoing fight for equality among varied groups of women. Women are empowered to fully participate in their democracy. Golden Hour at Epiphany begins at 5 p.m. and includes live music, beverages, and lite nibbles in the Café Bar. Absolutely incredible experience!From the moment you enter, you&#39;re immersed in the history and interactive exhibits. The elevator ride adds to the anticipation. Once at the top, the panoramic views are breathtaking. We splurged on the drinks package, and they certainly didn&#39;t disappoint.
