The Baltimore School for the Arts is thrilled to present The Nutcracker: A Magical Tale In Mount Vernon. As the holiday season approaches, we are excited to bring this beloved classic to our home once again. This enchanting performance will showcase the exceptional talent of our dancers from The Baltimore School for the Arts and TWIGS program. 

Under the brilliant choreography of guest artist Amy Hall Garner, we are taking a fresh approach to The Nutcracker, creating a truly magical adventure for our audience. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our generous sponsors, whose donations make it possible for us to continue providing exceptional performances and exhibitions. 

Not only do these donations support the arts, they also help provide essential resources for our at-risk students, such as computers, textbooks, and tutoring. Additionally, they enable us to offer scholarships for summer study and college, as well as basic supplies like paint brushes, pointe shoes, and play scripts that our city kids would otherwise struggle to afford.

It was once a major port for exporting goods, mainly sugar and iron. It is also the birthplace of the American national anthem.
