Whether you’re completely new to photography or an experienced creative looking to explore new techniques, this workshop is a unique and fun way to make beautiful art with your own hands. What You’ll Learn: • Coating Paper: Learn how to mix the photosensitive solution and properly apply it to paper. This coating technique is the foundation of creating a successful cyanotype, and our instructors will guide you through the entire process. • Creating Cyanotypes from Negatives: We’ll teach you how to create cyanotypes from negatives, capturing detailed images in rich shades of blue. If you don’t have your negatives, don’t worry—Berlin Photo Studio will provide digital negatives from files submitted by participants. • Exploring Photograms: Delve into the fascinating world of photograms, a cameraless photography method that produces unique images by placing objects directly onto the coated paper. This is where you can truly let your imagination run wild. From flowers and lace to pebbles and leaves, you’ll use various objects to create intricate and abstract designs. Materials Provided: • Photosensitive Solution and Paper: We will provide all the materials needed to coat the paper, including the photosensitive solution. You’ll learn how to mix it, apply it evenly, and prepare your paper for exposure. • Objects and Materials for Photograms: We’ll have a variety of materials available, such as flowers, leaves, lace, and other interesting objects for participants to use. However, we encourage attendees to bring any small items from home that they’d like to use—this personal touch makes each print unique. • Digital Negatives: For those who want to work with negatives but don’t have any large-format film, we offer the option to create digital negatives based on them to submit. The Museum island is impressive, with amazing buildings hosting exhibitions of all kind. I was able to visit the Neues Museum and it was worth the visit, even walking in the morning, afternoon or night is a great experience. a lot of history!!

Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) is a famous Protestant church in Berlin, the German capital, located on the museum island in the center of the city, adjacent to the Spree River. This magnificent church is not only the religious center of Berlin, but also an important landmark and tourist attraction in the city. The history of the Berlin Cathedral dates back to the 15th century, when there was a smaller church at the same location. The existing cathedral was built from 1894 to 1905 under the orders of the German Emperor Wilhelm II to serve as the court church of the Hohenzollern family. The original church was demolished in the late 19th century to make way for a new, more grand church. The Berlin Cathedral was designed in Renaissance and Baroque style by architect Julius Raschdorf (Julius Raschdorff). Its gorgeous exterior and exquisite interiors reflect the characteristics of the new Baroque architecture. The church is 98 meters high and its green dome is an important part of the Berlin skyline. During World War II, the Berlin Cathedral was severely damaged, especially when an airstrike in 1944 caused the dome to partially collapse. After the war, the restoration of the church continued for decades, and was finally completed in 1993. ⛪️ The interior of the church is gorgeously decorated with many exquisite sculptures, paintings and mosaics. The altar paintings and pulpit on the central altar are particularly striking. ⛪️ Berlin Cathedral has a pipe organ built by William Sal (Wilhelm Sauer), one of the largest and most important historical pipe organs in the world. Visitors can climb 270 steps to the observation deck of the church dome, from which you can overlook the magnificent view of central Berlin.
