Join the Minnesota Street Project in San Francisco for The Lily Too Shall Function Artist Talk, a thought-provoking event moderated by Caterina Fake. As part of the larger exhibition, The Lily Too Shall Function, this artist talk will feature Nathan Lynch, John Gnorski, and Jessica Switzer Green, who will discuss their artistic processes and showcase their works. The exhibition, presented by The Jones Institute and Studio AHEAD, is divided into two parts. The Jones Institute Main Gallery showcases the commissioned pieces, while The Jones Institute at Minnesota Street Project screens videos of the artists in their studios. This unique gathering brings together three talented Northern Californian artists for the first time. Nathan Lynch specializes in creating clay sculptures that exude both allure and peculiarity, seemingly melting back into the earth they were molded from. John Gnorski's woodblock prints draw inspiration from the idyllic fields of Point Reyes, featuring figures sleeping among flower beds and dreamily imagining their surroundings. Jessica Switzer Green, residing amidst the Sonoma sheep pastures, crafts woolworks that incorporate the natural textures and tones of each season's fleece. Her collaboration with Studio AHEAD has resulted in a series of magnificent floor pillows, emphasizing the ancient bond between humans and animals.
