Mixin is a five-piece band specializing in bilingual dream pop. Its lead vocalist and bassist Xiaoci, guitarist Afeng, keyboardist Alan, drummer Amu, and saxophonist Aqiao blend their melodies with the ethereal charm of British style and the damp air of a foggy mountain city. Their new album, "Hedgehogs Rushing to the Windmill," centers on the theme of "gentle rebellion," depicting the sensitivity and stubbornness of urban youth through 12 songs. The opening track, "Thorns Under the Neon Lights," features a wave of synthesizers framing the night sky, while "Windmills" simulates a storm with distorted guitars. The chorus, "We are all hedgehogs rushing to the windmills," instantly electrifies the crowd. The stage design has been upgraded: a 3D gauze screen projects a flowing pink-purple sky, while LED lights rise and fall with the beats of the drums, creating a sense of being transported to the clouds. An interactive installation, "Thorns and Windmills," allows users to scan a QR code and project their thoughts onto the stage screen, allowing them to resonate with the band in real time.
