The exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of the use of colored marble from its origins to the 20th century, drawing on selections from the Santarelli Foundation's collection. Over 660 precious Imperial-era colored marbles from the Capitoline Collection and the Dino and Ernesta Santarelli Foundation are on display in two halls of the Capitoline Museums' Palazzo Clementino, next to the Medal Gallery. The exhibition, on free loan for ten years, offers visitors a glimpse into the vast quantities of stone imported into Rome: a unique opportunity to trace the millennia of the city's history through shapes, colors, and patterns, from artistic, sociocultural, political, and economic perspectives. Indeed, the use of colored marble is a defining characteristic of Roman architecture during the Imperial era.

As soon as I approached the scenic spot, I was attracted by the angel sculptures on both sides of the bridge. When entering Castel Sant&#39;Angelo, you must go to the top to have a look, where you can overlook many ancient monuments on the other side of the river, including a corner of the Colosseum. In addition, the sandwiches at the Central Cafe are good and cheap, but you have to sit there to eat. If the sun is strong, it will be too hot and there is basically no shade.

I only just found out about this museum and hadn&#39;t had high hopes of getting tickets. But then I saw that Ctrip offered a tour, which was a great idea.

However, the tour was in English, and I barely understood anything. It&#39;s best to learn about the artwork beforehand.

The entire tour lasted two hours, and the tour guide took me all the way through. Afterward, I didn&#39;t have time to explore on my own.

Also, the meeting point was actually right outside the museum entrance. Ctrip&#39;s description wasn&#39;t clear, so I contacted customer service, which was thankfully resolved.
