The Heian-period Kokin Wakashū Poetry Anthology (compiled in 905) contains far more poems related to spring and autumn than to summer and winter. As that difference demonstrates, spring and autumn have long been favorite seasons in Japan. This bias in favor of spring and autumn can also be seen in art, notably in the number of works that depict cherry blossoms and autumn foliage in those seasons.
While this tradition was carried on, in Edo-period art, the combination of summer and autumn, instead of spring and autumn, is also striking. That change doubtless reflects a fondness for the charms of summer. Depicting vigorous summer and waning autumn as a sequence, and thus being able to define clearly the change in the seasons, also contributed to that shift in seasonal pairings.
The highlights of this exhibition are masterpieces by Suzuki Kiitsu, the Edo Rimpa School prodigy, and the studio of the Rimpa School founder Tawaraya Sōtatsu. Through this exhibition, we hope you will enjoy the shifting moods of the seasons, from early summer to late fall, while exploring various aspects of the aesthetic sensibilities they express.

Лучшая смотровая в Токио. Правда был ветер сильнейший и было сложно находиться там долго. Лучше выбирать погоду получше. Людей очень много. Если будет дождь, то могут отменить. Нам повезло, так как дождь закончился и случился шикарный закат, а также было видно Фудзи! Я была в полном восторге! Обязательно повторю! Must see в целом :)

Got to the park at 3pm (closing at 9pm), but still managed to get onto 7 ride, including the newest peter pan n rapunzel rides. check out the maintenance period for rides (like frozen) so that u wont get too disappointed only to find out that they r closed when u get to the rides.

The second time I came, I didn&#39;t have the freshness of the first time, but the first time I was alone, and I didn&#39;t play the interaction. This time I was with friends and interacted, it was much more interesting. The first half is more interesting, and the second half is a bit boring.

The overall view above the Sky Tower is OK. I didn&rsquo;t encounter good weather on the day I went, so Mount Fuji was invisible. The elevator up was very convenient. The ice cream on the roof was delicious. Because the height of the tower was very high, the buildings below were very small.
