Improvisation is any performance where there has been no pre-planning: where there is no script or any detailed outline for the show. However, improv is more than simply the absence of these things. It also represents a process and a philosophy of communication, creativity and connection. It is these skills and ideas which allow performers to work with each other, in the moment, to create amazing and wonderful scenes.  Why learn improv?  Improv is a fun, challenging art-form which teaches skills which are useful both in everyday life and performance. Improv is invaluable for actors or creatives who want to be faster on their feet and explore their creative processes. It's also valuable for non-performers as it teaches skills relating to communication, confidence and teamwork. Plus, it's fun! Improv is an incredibly accessible art-form, and a well-designed beginner's class will feel friendly and be enjoyable for people from all backgrounds and levels of experience.
