Children aged 8-12 have a unique opportunity to develop essential water safety skills and build their confidence in water-related activities. Through the Swim 1922 partnership with 21 C Museum Hotels, the first cohort of this program will cater specifically to youth in this age group. The cohorts will be held on the 4th Saturday of each month, starting from October through December, from 9am to 11am. It is highly encouraged that participants attend all three sessions to fully benefit from the program. The specific dates for Cohort 1 are Saturday, October 28, 2023, Saturday, November 25, 2023, and Saturday, December 23, 2023, all from 9am to 11am. 

This initiative, led by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., is a testament to their strong partnership with USA Swimming. Together, they have already made a significant impact, directly touching the lives of nearly 20,000 individuals. By addressing the fears and concerns within the African-American community regarding water safety and swimming, this joint effort has been instrumental in changing attitudes and providing valuable opportunities. The Swim 1922 Campaign has successfully challenged preconceived notions and barriers by offering access and exposure to water activities. Its long-term goal is to create a lasting change that will benefit multiple generations to come.

The Swim 1922 event will take place at the prestigious 21c Museum Hotel St Louis, located at 1528 Locust Street, St. Louis, MO 63103. The event is scheduled for October 28, 2023, and tickets will be available for purchase starting October 7 at 12:00 PM. This is a remarkable opportunity for children aged 8-12 to develop vital water safety skills and enhance their confidence, setting them up for a lifetime of enjoyable water activities.

Meet in Forest Park in St. Louis in winter. Walking in Forest Park, passing by the History Museum, Art Museum, Zoo, and Science Museum. Along the way, there are people running in shorts, cyclists, fishermen by the lake, and people playing golf and tennis... There is such a large forest park in the city center, and there are many places for entertainment. People regard exercise and enjoying the sun and outdoor air as part of their lives. I am a little embarrassed to wear a sweater and trousers.
