Join OnSight Firearms Training for the SURVIVAL PISTOL class in Cortlandt Manor, NY on June 29, 2024. This course is designed for intermediate or advanced shooters looking to enhance their defensive and practical pistol shooting skills.

During this class, participants will learn about cover and concealment, malfunctions, shooting on the move, and unconventional shooting positions. The focus will be on using your pistol in real-life defensive situations. Prior knowledge and proficiency in shooting safety fundamentals, malfunctions clearance, reloading, and holster work under stress and time constraints are prerequisites for this course.

The class will start promptly at 9:45am, so please arrive at the Westchester County Blue Mountain Sportsman’s Center no later than 9:30am for set up and a safety briefing. Please note that this is not a beginner's shooting class, and participants are expected to have a solid understanding of their pistol and how to use it defensively.

To attend this course, you will need a quality functional semi-automatic pistol, at least five loaded magazines, a minimum of 500 rounds of brass-cased ammunition (no steel cased ammunition), a belt-mounted holster, magazine pouches, sturdy belt, suitable footwear, and clothing suitable for training in any weather. You should also bring wraparound eyewear, electronic hearing protection, a notebook and pen for note-taking, and a humble and willing attitude to learn.
