Following our highly successful Garden Party last year we are delighted to announce that back by popular demand on the 14th of May 2025, we have a fabulous Lunar Society networking and social dining event in the idyll of Winterborne House & Gardens. Taking place between 1800-2000

buffet on the terrace.

Title: Two Women of Winterbourne
Synopsis
A passion for nature and green space underpinned the design of Winterbourne House and Garden and inspired the Nettlefold family to enable others to enjoy better living conditions. Margaret Nettlefold and her daughter Evelyn, both lovers of botany, lived through times of social change and upheaval, and grasped every opportunity to make a difference in the world.
Keynote by Winterborne House and Garden Museums Collections Curator Henrietta Lockhart.
Biography
Henrietta has been Curator of Museum Collections at Winterbourne House and Garden since 2016. Previously she was Curator of History at Birmingham Museums Trust where she led on the Birmingham History Galleries project. She has also been Fine Art Consultant at Colley Ison Gallery.
The talk will be followed by a chance to explore the house and garden at no additional cost and enjoy an afternoon tea style buffet on the Edwardian terrace. The tea will include tea, coffee, soft drinks, vegan, seafood and meat platters and sweet treats/cakes catered by the University of Birmingham catering professionals.
The cost for members is: £27.50.
The cost for non-members is: £40.
Please note when booking tickets via Eventbrite, their fees are added to the ticket costs.

We made a dedicated trip and had a lovely few hours. There was lots to see with split levels that kept your interest. The penguins were nice, the octopus made an appearance and we would have loved to see more of the otters., we see the otters.. There is plenty to see, read and touch. My grand daughter loved it all, the turtle in the tunnel is beautiful . It was clean, and we had a great time, would definitely go back, staff were helpful,its really nice and deserve to be visited again and again.

For a smaller town the Art Museum as great. We really enjoyed our visit and would recommend it if you are traveling to Birmingham. Make sure to call ahead to see if they are open.

After we dropped off our luggage at the hotel, we had a big meal at a Michelin one-star restaurant, and then we began to get to know the city. First we came to Victoria Square, where a building imitating a Greek temple caught our eye. It turned out to be their town hall. Next to it was a beautiful Baroque building, the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, which was also free to visit. So we went in for a stroll. There were not many people, and the exhibits were quite rich, ranging from ancient Egypt to current art.

There are Chinese Super League, restaurants, and many other specialty restaurants to choose from.
It&#39;s not hard to find something to eat here.
However, the food at this restaurant was a bit disappointing.
