Immerse yourself in an unforgettable after-dark experience at Forest Home Cemetery, the oldest and largest cemetery in Milwaukee. This October, witness the extraordinary "Unfinished Business" as professional actors bring to life the stories of some of the cemetery's most notable residents. Step into the Silent City and embark on a guided journey through graveside scenarios, where you will learn about the lives of remarkable individuals who have shaped history.

Discover the captivating tales of Dickey Chappelle, the first woman war correspondent killed by enemy fire, and Dr. Laura Ross Wolcott, the first female doctor in Wisconsin and third in the United States. Learn about Ezekiel Gillespie, the Black man who fought for and secured voting rights for all Black men in Wisconsin. Conclude your evening adventure with a trio of bickering beer barons.

Despite the eerie atmosphere, this event is designed to entertain and enlighten, rather than scare. These are historical tours, not haunted ones. Don't miss out on the hottest ticket in town; last year's event sold out, so ensure your spot by purchasing early.

Please note that limited premium parking is available onsite for an additional fee of $20. Tour groups of 24 depart from Forest Home's Victorian Garden every 15 minutes from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday and Sunday, and until 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. It is essential to arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled tour to allow time for parking and walking. Please be prepared for a walking tour at night, which covers uneven terrain and may require walking more than a mile.

This program is presented by Forest Home Cemetery & Arboretum in partnership with Caper Company. The tour route spans one mile of varied terrain and is completed within 60 to 75 minutes. For the comfort and safety of all guests, please consider your own abilities and those of your party before purchasing tickets. Silent City guests must be 10 years or older.

Please be aware that no refunds will be issued for this event, which will proceed rain or shine. However, in the unlikely event of cancellation due to weather conditions jeopardizing public safety, updates will be posted on our official channels.
