The Japan Camera Museum (Director: Kei Tanino) will hold a special exhibition, "From the 19th Century to the 21st Century: Jumping Out! Expanding! The History of Stereo and Panoramic Cameras" from Tuesday, October 29, 2024 to Sunday, February 2, 2025.
A stereo camera is a camera that uses two lenses side by side to capture the same subject. When you view the two photos with each eye using a viewer, you can see the subject in three dimensions. Panoramic cameras are cameras that capture a wide range, and various types have been made, such as those that use ultra-wide-angle lenses and those that rotate the lens or camera body.
Today, there are more and more news about XR (cross reality), VR (virtual reality), AR (augmented reality), MR (mixed reality), and other technologies, and opportunities to actually experience them are increasing. The challenge to realize these did not start in modern times, but has been undertaken since the 1830s, when the imaging medium "photography" was born, and it is clear that people have long sought imaging and visual experiences.
This special exhibition focuses on cameras that take "stereo (three-dimensional) photographs" and "panoramic photographs," which could be said to be the origins of such visual experiences, and introduces the process of their evolution. Actual materials will be exhibited tracing the history of cameras that take stereo photographs, viewing devices, and cameras that take panoramic photographs. Additionally, one part of the venue will have a corner where you can actually view stereo photographs, as well as an exhibition of panoramic photographs.

Personally I think Tokyo Tower is good value compared to the Eiffel Tower. It&#39;s a beautiful view at night. With lots of places to see at 3F, there are shops that have souvenirs, a food court and my visit to the main deck and top deck with a free photo print take away. We love this experience in Tokyo.

Recommended! This is the first time I&#39;ve visited a zoo in more than 20 years. There are many animals and the route is reasonable. The restaurant is not overpriced, the dishes are cute, and the service is good. Recommended, the ticket price is quite cost-effective, but the panda-related products are a bit expensive, a keychain is more than 900 yen.

Actually, there is a WING building opposite the Takanawa exit of JR Shinagawa Station. Just walk straight inside from the building and the outdoor escalator. The adult ticket on site is 2,500 yen/ticket. The price on Ctrip is still slightly cheaper. It is effective immediately after buying on site. Just scan a code for one order. After entering, there is an indoor pirate ship on the right hand side (500 yen/time, and then follow the route in the museum. There is also a paid carousel on the left hand side). The route is planned. You can&#39;t go back halfway because the escalator is not open. The dolphin show is quite interesting, mainly divided into the main and supporting roles, and there are lights and other blessings. The gift hall at the end is also very cute. Overall, it is still worth a visit.

Ctrip was so awesome! I tried the lottery on the Chikawa website in advance but didn&#39;t win. Unexpectedly, Ctrip didn&#39;t buy the tickets at all. It was so cool! My kids were so happy. It was worth it! I got to interact with all three little ones. They were so adorable!
