Join the Sand Casting workshop at SiNaCa Studios - School of Glass and Gallery in Fort Worth on Saturday, February 10, 2024. This exciting workshop allows participants of all ages to experience the joy of working with glass. You'll have the opportunity to create your own one-of-a-kind glass treasure by manipulating the glass and choosing your own colors. The class duration ranges from 30 to 90 minutes, and the prices vary from $50 to $95.

During the workshop, you'll learn the process of sand casting, which involves pouring molten glass directly into a preformed sand mold. Our instructors will guide you through the creation of your sand cast artwork, giving you up to 45 minutes to design a unique piece. The artwork will then be placed in an oven for the slow cooling process, and it will be ready for pick up in three days or can be shipped for an additional fee.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own objects to use in the sand casting process, such as cherished items or body parts like hands or feet. Our instructors will help you create a relief mold by pressing impressed forms into the sand. Please note that objects with undercuts should be avoided.
