Clad in Colorado Yule marble, this grand Neoclassical building is distinguished by sixteen three-story Ionic columns at its main entrance, each adorned with sculpted eagles. Completed between 1916 and 1920, the courthouse exemplifies the federal architectural style that dominated public buildings at the turn of the century. Originally, the basement and first floor housed the postal service, the second floor served the federal judiciary, and the third and fourth floors provided offices for federal agencies serving the Rocky Mountain Region. Above the main entrance, the frieze bears the names of cities—those east of Denver inscribed to the east of the central bay, and those west of Denver to the west—symbolizing the flow of mail across the nation. The State Government Plaza in Colorado, where Denver is located, is where you can visit the state government&#39;s golden-domed Capitol. Many state governments in the United States have areas open to tourists for free. You just need to go through security check at their specified time.

This Colorado State Government Capitol is the seat of the state legislature and the governor&#39;s office, and is also the office of the Senate and House of Representatives.

It is said that the golden roof of this capitol is made of pure gold to commemorate the gold rush in Colorado.

Walking in this state capitol, you can really feel that every step and every scene is particularly &quot;American&quot;, and you can see people or events related to Colorado&#39;s history wherever you look.

For a 24k pure tourist who is not so interested in American history, the magnificent European architectural style is the best for punching in.
