Join the fun at Shotgun Salute 2023, a clay shoot event and dinner held in Athens, AL. This annual gathering brings together clay sport enthusiasts and amateurs, all in support of our senior veterans. The 2nd edition of this exciting event aims to raise funds for the local senior veterans in need.

The day begins with team check-in and equipment check at 1:30 PM on Friday, September 15th. Get the chance to meet our heroes and mingle with fellow participants. Remember to bring your own guns and shells as you gear up for the shoot, which kicks off at 2:00 PM. Compete with other teams and enjoy the friendly competition.

Afterwards, take a break and relax at the barn while you wait for the BBQ dinner to be served. Live entertainment by Huntsville's In the Mood Big Swing Band will keep you entertained as you savor the delicious meal. Don't forget to try your luck at the silent auction, where you can bid on a variety of items. Feel free to bring your own drinks to enjoy during the dinner.

Shotgun Salute 2023 is a special event held on National POW/MIA Recognition Day. It serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by servicemen still missing in action. According to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, there are 81,446 still missing. The goal of this event is to raise $81,446, honoring each missing individual.

The Greek word for the Acropolis means &quot;the city of the mountains&quot;. There are many acropolis in Greece, but the Acropolis has been the pride of the Greeks ever since it was built two or six hundred years ago. The Acropolis is located on a limestone hill 150 meters southwest of Athens, built in the 5th century BC, and is a holy site to commemorate the victory of the Hippo War and sacrifice to Athena, the patron saint of Athens. The main building, the Parthenon, is backed by the Athenian Prakka maze of houses, and stands steeply on one side of the sea, towering in the blue sea and blue sky.
