The Sensory Storytelling - Food Writing Group is a local gathering for individuals who have a passion for food and writing. This monthly event, held at the Curio Spice Lab in Cambridge, offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the world of culinary storytelling. The group, limited to just five participants, convenes on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:30 to 7:00. Led by the host, Sage, attendees will embark on a sensory journey to awaken their senses and inspire their writing. Through various exercises and prompts, participants will have the chance to translate their experiences with food into poetry or prose. This creative outlet allows for the exploration of personal memories, cultural traditions, and the power of food to bring people together. The session begins with an exercise to stimulate the senses, followed by a free-writing session and a chance to share with the group. It is recommended to bring a notebook and writing utensil, as well as a hunger for storytelling. The Curio Spice Lab, located adjacent to the spice shop, serves as a versatile event space that encourages curiosity and creativity.
