This is a rare underwater fireworks display in Japan, with fireworks launched from a boat sailing along the Agano River next to the hot spring town. The half-moon-shaped fireworks blooming above the water add a dreamy glow to the summer night. Guests staying at the hot spring and JR passengers can enjoy the spectacular fireworks up close at a special viewing area set up on the banks of the Agano River (charges apply). In addition, photographer seats are newly added for this event (charges apply).
