about our famlies 
I was diagnosed with Grade 2 Invasive Lobular Carcinoma in November 2024.  What started out as a single lesion of cancer in my right breast turned out to be multiple lesions of cancer.   I had multiple biopsies and breast MRI’s to confirm.	In January of 2025, I had a bilateral mastectomy done.	I was home for approximately 6 weeks.  I am back to work now but I know I have to undergo reconstructive surgery in early summer of 2025.	Doctor anticipates 8 to 10 weeks home.  
In lieu of all I have been through I will continue to remain positive.   I thank my family, friends and community for all their support and love.   I am truly blessed!

Hi Steve! It’s Ruby, Daniela Onoratos mom. Thank you so much for everything you are doing for my family. It means so much to all of us. 
My husband, Matt, was found to have a brain tumor 3 years ago and is still continuing to have negative side effects today. After the brain tumor was removed with surgery, he was diagnosed with epilepsy and has seizures quite often. My husband has been in and out of the hospital and done multiple therapies. He has been through many different medications, and still trying to find the right one, but with each of the different medications comes different side effects. 
He has had multiple falls because of his seizures and one of them leaving him with a fractured femur which has caused him to be in bed for a long time. While he takes physical and occupational therpay to recover, these seizures also make it difficult to have an established therapy schedule. He has become extremely weak and has trouble getting up and walking on his own.
He has also become more foggy since the surgery and has not been his normal self since. This has been extremely difficult on me and my children since all of our family is in Colombia, and his side of the family is not around. So it’s just us. 
My husband was the primary source of income for us. As a result of his health issues he had to stop working . It has just been my kids and I to help him through this, which has taken a toll on us both financially and emotionally.
