On Tuesday evening, April 23, RIXT Poetry Collective will host another edition of the Literary Circle at Tresoar in Café De Gouden Leeuw, Leeuwarden. Participants of the RIXT course 'Writing Poetry' will present their work from the winter session, followed by Catalan poetry in Frisian. Ignasi Ripoll and Syds Wiersma will recite poems by various Catalan poets translated into Frisian. UNESCO World Book Day is celebrated on April 23 to emphasize the significance of reading and books, originating from the Catalan holiday of 'San Jordi', dedicated to literature and love. The day also honors Miguel de Cervantes in Spain and commemorates the death of William Shakespeare in 1616. Don't miss this cultural event celebrating literature and poetry.
