Re-discovering Edith Holden Come join us at Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens Trust for an event dedicated to Edith Holden, a renowned artist and naturalist…. but as with many women, overlooked until more recently Did you know, she spent most of her life in and around Birmingham, including Moseley and Castle Bromwich… Dive into her world with enthusiast Rachel Smith Chopra, reminisce with the books from the Holden revival in the 1980s and spend the day exploring the Gardens with artists, florists and others. Learn about her life, work, and passion for nature. This event is a lovely Spring opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of Holden’s creations and be inspired by her legacy. Rachel will introduce her journey of discovery with an introductory talk. There will then be opportunities throughout the day to indulge in your passions for flower arranging, drawing, painting and being creative in response to th Gardens… with artists and leaders to support you All the activities are FREE with your Normal Gardens Admission fees. But please book your place in advance if you can, so we can manage chairs, drawing materials etc…

We made a dedicated trip and had a lovely few hours. There was lots to see with split levels that kept your interest. The penguins were nice, the octopus made an appearance and we would have loved to see more of the otters., we see the otters.. There is plenty to see, read and touch. My grand daughter loved it all, the turtle in the tunnel is beautiful . It was clean, and we had a great time, would definitely go back, staff were helpful,its really nice and deserve to be visited again and again.

For a smaller town the Art Museum as great. We really enjoyed our visit and would recommend it if you are traveling to Birmingham. Make sure to call ahead to see if they are open.

There are Chinese Super League, restaurants, and many other specialty restaurants to choose from. It is not difficult to find what you want to eat here. But this time I chose this restaurant, the food was a bit disappointing.

We went to the hotel to drop our luggage, went to a big meal at a Michelin-star restaurant, and then began to get to know the city. First of all, we came to Victoria Square. A building imitating the Greek temple was very eye-catching. This was actually their town hall. A beautiful baroque building next to it was the Birmingham Museum and Art Museum. It was also free to visit, so I went in and strolled around. There were not many people. The exhibits are quite rich, from ancient Egypt to the present artwork, there are exhibitions.
