Join us for a morning of portrait drawing from life in the beautiful city of Llandeilo. The event, named "Portraiture From Life," offers participants the opportunity to draw and paint the portrait of a live model. The session will be held at the esteemed Llandeilo Fawr Civic Hall, conveniently located at 17 Crescent Road, Llandeilo, SA19 6HW.

Upon arrival at the Civic Hall, participants will find a clearly marked entrance on the right-hand side with a sign indicating "Llandeilo Life Drawing." Please note that the session will take place on the upper floor, accessible only by stairs, and unfortunately may not be suitable for individuals with mobility limitations.

During the two-hour session, attendees will have the chance to create their own artistic interpretations of the live model, with no formal instruction provided. This event is not a course but rather an opportunity for personal study and practice. Whether you prefer drawing, painting, or using digital tools, the choice is yours. Explore the study of anatomy, color, and form, and create one refined drawing or multiple shorter studies according to your preference.

The session will consist of five blocks of 20 minutes each, with five-minute breaks for the model. The model will maintain the same pose throughout, allowing attendees to refine their work if desired. Alternatively, participants may choose to change their drawing position for different angles during shorter poses. We welcome suggestions from attendees on how to improve future sessions as well.

Please feel free to bring your preferred drawing or painting mediums. In case you forget your supplies, vine charcoal and paper will be available. The room is equipped with tables and chairs, and drawing boards will be provided, although bringing your own easel is recommended if desired.
