Se posant en « moraliste sceptique », Denys Arcand explore dans son dernier film des sujets de société assez controversés allant de la rectitude politique aux questions identitaires. Le film raconte l'histoire de Jean-Michel, un archiviste pré-retraité qui cherche ses repères face aux nombreux changements qui traversent la société québécoise. Il est d'abord exaspéré par un groupe de manifestants qui arrive pour exiger que l'établissement retire une installation artistique jugée insultante pour les Premières Nations, mais au final il trouve un nouvel amour et une nouvelle joie de vivre dans cette expérience.
Le film a été sélectionné pour le Festival du film francophone d'Angoulême 2023 et pour le Festival de cinéma de la ville de Québec.
Avec Rémy Girard et Sophie Lorain.
En version originale avec des sous-titres anglais.
Durée : 115 min.
Entrée libre.
La projection de film va se dérouler le lundi 28 octobre à 18h à la bibliothèque de référence dans Beeton Hall et sera suivi d'une discussion en français animée par Mme Marcelle Lean, Directrice générale et artistique de Cinéfranco.

Casa Loma is located in the north of Toronto and was built by British descendants. The basement wine cellar has a large collection of wines; upstairs there is a wax museum with many wax figures of Hollywood stars, as well as Jackie Chan and Canadian Prime Minister Simon &amp; Schuster. The garden has a fountain and sun room; the rooftop terrace overlooks Toronto.

Came on a Wednesday morning. There weren&rsquo;t a lot of people and tickets were booked prior online. One of the current exhibitions - Being and Belonging was not included in the current tickets but it was totally worth getting it. Each floor comprised of different exhibitions so do be prepared for it to take up to 2 hours. 10/10 recommend coming here to be overwhelmed with knowledge and AC.
