Join Gerard Winter-Hughes for an engaging visual arts workshop on the theme of 'Work' at The Hive in Worcester. This workshop is part of the History in the Making project, a year-long program celebrating Worcestershire's rich heritage and giving a voice to underrepresented communities. Generously funded by Arts Council England and supported by Worcester City Council, all activities in the project, including this workshop, will be free of charge. During the workshop, Oliver Bliss, Gerard Winter-Hughes, and Holly Winter-Hughes will draw inspiration from the collections in Worcestershire Archives and Worcester Cathedral's Library. They will use creative prompts to spark artistic expression and facilitate meaningful discussions. Participants are also encouraged to reflect on their personal stories of Worcester and their own connection to the city. The workshop will take place at The Hive, one of the project's partnering venues. The Hive, along with Worcester Cathedral and Sugar Daddy's Café, holds a special place in the city's history and will provide valuable context for the creative work produced during this community-focused project. For those with specific access needs, such as BSL interpreting or support in languages other than English, funding is available to assist.
