Designed to create more questions than answers, this sensory workshop will appeal to those with an interest in interdisciplinary practice and art history, exploring a variety of research sources, experimental drawing exercises, and ways of making and thinking about photography. The workshop will culminate in reworking and manipulating found 35mm negatives, to then present a collaborative screening on a slide projector. Participants are encouraged to bring their own negatives/positive slide ﬁlm which they’d like to use as materials for projection. Alexander Mourant is an artist, educator and writer based in London. His debut monograph, The Night and the First Sculpture, was published by Folium, 2024. Recent exhibitions include To Walk in the Image, Lismore Castle Arts, Ireland (2023), At the Farthest Edge: Rebuilding Photography, NŌUA, Norway (2023) and A Sudden Vanishing, Seen Fifteen Gallery, London (2023). Mourant is a recipient of grants from Arts Council Norway, Arts Council England and ArtHouse Jersey. He has been commissioned by FT Weekend Magazine, Hapax Magazine and The Greatest Magazine, and included in BJP, The Guardian, Photograph, Photoworks, METAL Magazine and Photomonitor. He won the Free Range Award and was nominated for the Foam Paul Huf Award. Mourant is a Member of Revolv Collective and Contributor at C4 Journal. He achieved BA Photography at Falmouth University, and MA Photography at Royal College of Art, London. He is a Lecturer in Photography at Kingston University. All other materials will be provided. The Bridge of Sighs (Oxford University, UK) is officially called Hertford Bridge. It is a famous attraction at Oxford University. The construction of the Bridge of Sighs began in 1913 (completed in 1914). It crosses New College Road and connects the old and new parts of Hertford College. It is a famous attraction at Oxford University. It was designed by Sir Thomas Jackson. Because the bridge is similar to the Bridge of Sighs in Venice, Italy, it is called the Bridge of Sighs. I came to Oxford University with a tour group and could only take a quick look.

The Bodleian Library - University of Oxford is the main library of the University of Oxford. It is one of the oldest libraries in Europe (opened in 1602) and the second largest in the UK after the British Library. library. This is one of the 6 statutory libraries in the UK. There are many branches under the library, among which the Radcliffe Camera branch has become an important landmark of Oxford University.
