Experience the captivating culmination of Perceptions of Flow: "Formation" at the closing reception on Sunday, March 17th. Delve into the intricate exploration of the creative process through diverse mediums such as visual arts, ceramics, and poetry. Witness how artists express their individuality and navigate the internal struggle of artistic flow, offering a unique perspective to the audience. Arts of Life, a non-profit organization based in Chicago, fosters a supportive environment for artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities to pursue a career in the visual arts. With over 60 artists working independently in spacious studios, each artist receives personalized guidance to enhance their skills and earn from their art sales. Crystal McDonald, Ph.D., an Industrial Organizational Psychologist and accomplished artist, contributes her expertise to support artists facing challenges. Through her organization, HuesPalette, she provides grants to artists with disabilities, individuals of color, and those from rural backgrounds, empowering them to participate in artist residencies. Join us at the Evanston Art Center for this enriching event that showcases the power of creativity and inclusivity.
