We're super excited to showcase the new work of four poets, Jemima Foxtrot, Jackson Phoenix Nash, Rushika Wick and Nadine El-Enany on Tuesday 1st October at 7pm.  Join us in the shop to hear new poems from these exciting writers, with a glass of wine and a chance to buy their latest collections. Jemima Foxtrot is a writer, performer and theatremaker from Yorkshire, living in Berlin. She has written and performed several critically acclaimed works for the stage including Melody, Above the Mealy-mouthed Sea, and Pleasure Incorporated with collaborator Lucy Allan and Rear View with I.O.U Theatre. She has published two collections of poetry All Damn Day (Burning Eye Books 2016) and A New Game (Burning Eye Books 2022). Treasure is her third book, published by Bad Betty Press in September 2024. Jackson Phoenix Nash (he/him) is a queer transgender writer and teacher from Essex, and author of Some People Are Trains, published by Bad Betty Press in 2024. His poetry and fiction have appeared in Propel, Under the Radar, Rattle, Channel, Baffling Magazine and many more. Jackson is a fellow of the Lambda Literary Writer’s Retreat for Emerging LGBTQ Voices. He was shortlisted for the Creative Future Writer’s Award in 2020, and in 2022 was selected for Creative Future’s Next Up development programme. His PhD in Gender Studies explored trans YA fiction and popular culture. Rushika Wick’s first poetry collection Afterlife As Trash (Verve 2021) was highly commended in the Forward prizes and concerns selfhood and value in late stage capitalism. She has work published in Poetry Review, Magma, Bathmagg, Ambit, The Telegraph, Poetry Birmingham and Bad Lilies amongst others. She runs Sunseekers poetry project with Ana Seferovic - curating multidisciplinary and cross-modal events and an online archive. She has collaborated with dancer Alice Sara from Trinity Laban and produced ekphrastic work for the National Gallery. She regularly collaborates with other poets at the European Poetry Festival, recently with Catalan poet Anna Gual.
Her new collection Horse is a hybrid work published by Broken Sleep books in July 2024. Nadine El-Enany is a writer, poet and teacher. Her book (B)ordering Britain: Law, race and empire was published by Manchester University Press. Her poetry has appeared in Butcher’s Dog, Magma, Propel Magazine, 14 Magazine, fourteen poems, Gutter Magazine, Black Iris, Poetry Wales, Under the Radar, The Rialto and And Other Poems. She is winner of the Chancellor’s Poetry Prize 2024, and was shortlisted for the 2023 Poetry London Pamphlet Prize. It is definitely worth going. You can deeply feel the profound British culture and the importance Britain attaches to talents in various fields such as science, culture and art. When we went there, we queued for less than an hour to get in. The order arrangement in the venue was very reasonable and the Chinese translator was very useful.

This is a well-deserved attraction, ideally allowing at least two hours. It&#39;s grand yet unassuming, and historical yet not outdated. Each step is incredibly difficult to take, and the scenery is breathtaking. You won&#39;t want to stop until you&#39;ve seen enough. Photography is not permitted.
