Presented by Rochester Summer Opera (RSO), this unforgettable evening showcases Opera's Greatest Hits performed by the RSO orchestra. Founded in 2021 during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic, Rochester Summer Opera has been dedicated to providing free experiential learning opportunities for Eastman Voice & Opera students. In the past two summers, they have successfully offered 40 students valuable performance opportunities while treating the Rochester community to over 700 free and family-friendly opera experiences. Building on the incredible legacy of the beloved "Opera Under the Stars" performances at Highland Bowl, which were supported by the County of Monroe for 23 years and attracted almost 250,000 attendees, Rochester Summer Opera seeks to recreate this exceptional experience. With the support of the Highland Park Conservancy and WXXI, they are thrilled to offer the Rochester community the chance to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of opera while enjoying a delightful picnic. The event will take place at the Highland Bowl Performing Arts Stage, located at 1137 South Ave, Rochester, NY 14620.
