As I walked around the beaches in Sri Lanka, I was lucky enough to spot the Stilt Fishermen. Their traditional fishing technique, balancing on wooden poles above the water, was captivating to watch. It&rsquo;s a unique and cultural experience that adds so much charm to the local coastal scene!

Sri Lanka&#39;s long coastal beaches often have sea turtles. To protect the world&#39;s rare animals, the government has funded a non-profit turtle hatchery along the coast, collecting turtle eggs on the beach, hatching small turtles, adopting disabled turtles, and opening them to tourists for a fee.
