Join the advanced lapidary course on Opal Cabochon Cutting to learn new techniques and master the art of cutting Ethiopian Opal. Led by experienced instructor Carly Vdh, this course is designed for individuals aged 18 and above who have completed the prerequisite of two Beginning Lapidary - Cabochon Cutting Classes. 

Ethiopian Opal is a unique material that requires specialized knowledge and skills compared to other gemstones. In this course, you will gain valuable insights and tricks that will enable you to create stunning Ethiopian Opal cabochons. 

The class will take place on November 25, 2023, at NW Rockhounds in Seattle. The session will run from 11am to 2:30pm. The ticket price for this event is $90, with an additional material fee ranging from $15 to $35 depending on the rough you choose (cash preferred). 

Please note that the class size is limited to four students. You will receive further instructions via email a few days before the course. Upstairs in our dedicated classroom, you will have access to the necessary equipment, although it is important to note that the class can be loud. Earplugs will be provided for your convenience. Masks are optional but not mandatory. 

Please be aware that purchasing a seat at this event is non-transferable and non-refundable, similar to tickets for sporting events or concerts. We kindly request that cancellations be made seven days or more in advance to be eligible for a refund.

You can walk to the Seattle 520 Bridge from Bellevue, as shown in Figure 1. There is also a beautiful park and parking lot here. If you like to walk across the bridge, you can reach Seattle. If you like to take the bus, you can also do so. The bus station is just below the parking lot. There are many buses and the waiting time is not long. It is very convenient.

Especially when it&rsquo;s such a famous public university like the University of Washington. Gary Locke, former Microsoft chairman&hellip; they all graduated from UW. Bill Gates&rsquo; father, a well-known lawyer, once taught at its law school. Bruce Lee also studied here, and it was where he met his wife.

Later, I visited UW&rsquo;s Suzzallo Library&mdash;often referred to as the real-life &ldquo;Harry Potter Library.&rdquo; It grandeur rivals that of the Boston Public Library. The UW School of Medicine also ranks extremely high, consistently alongside Harvard and Stanford. Its programs in clinical medicine and public health are also highly ranked.

Also, the University of Washington&#39;s medical school is highly ranked, consistently on par with Harvard and Stanford. Clinical medicine, public health, and nursing are all excellent. It&#39;s close to Amazon and Microsoft headquarters, and it collaborates closely with tech companies like Google and Meta, so its research funding is high.
