This course will introduce participants to drawing and painting portraits and is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. You will be given an introduction to the methods, techniques and ways of looking needed to create a likeness. Basic drawing and painting materials including acrylic paint, paper and canvas will be provided. Please bring your own acrylic paint brushes. You are welcome to bring any additional materials that you would like to use. *Please note, oil painting will not be covered in this course. Costs: £95 Days: 1 Sunday Times: 10:00 - 16:00 Dates: Sunday 23 February Location: White Room Maximum: 8 Allan Ramsay has exhibited regularly at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. He is a 1st prize winner of the John Player Portrait Awards at the National Portrait Gallery, London (now the BP Portrait Awards). He has held portrait drawing and painting classes at The National Portrait Gallery, London, Glasgow Museums and Galleries, Glasgow School of Art and Wimbledon School of Art. He has completed portrait commissions for numerous institutions including the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge and The National Portrait Gallery, London. Allan holds a studio at Phoenix Art Space.

We were there on a weekend and mainly walked outside, looking at the gardens and the architecture. We didn&rsquo;t go inside as their hours of operation didn&rsquo;t coincide with the time we were there and had available. Great place to stroll, people watch, or have a picnic, weather permitting.

Had my first date here with my partner and we hadthe best time. An amazing aquarium with abeautiful atmosphere, lights and gorgeouscreatures! I love animals and fish and seeing themhere was wonderful. Staff were lovely and veryknowledgeable. The place was clean, easy tonavigate and extremely ambient and beautiful. We went on a Thursday afternoon so was pretty quiet!

more like a downtown touristy place with many cafes and cosmetic shops. very easy to get lost while looking for some place on maps. almost did when i was lookong for Mac cosmetics...you will find Jo Malone, Bobby Brown and Mac cosmetics all in one small area. and coffee shops too. on my second attempt i was looking for pizza express and i almost missed it. hehehh the lanes is one place that gets you wondering what exactly is going on with your maps application. definately recomend you to not miss it while in brighton. on your way to lanes you will meet Tmax the famous brand discount shop and boy, you will thank me then.
