OIL PAINTING WORKSHOP Have you ever wanted to give oil painting a go but didn’t know where to begin? I have you covered with my oil painting classes for beginners! The winter is dragging on, everywhere and everything is grey and the seasonal affective disorder is really starting to set in. I feel you - I’m originally from Australia. What’s the art class all about? Held in the cozy and creative space ‘Studio 4’, located in Friedrichshain, my oil painting workshop aims to cultivate a creative, stress free afternoon where we will explore light art theory and indulge in a practical art lesson. In this three hour lesson we will explore complementary colour combinations vital to making our work pop, mixing desired colors from scratch, illustration and useful blending techniques. This month's theme centres around organic shapes and therefore we will be focusing on plant life and fruit and vegetables. If there is something different and special you’d like to paint, bring it along! I love and encourage spontaneous creativity. By the end of the class you will have a tangible, handmade A4 original painting to take home. Important to note: While it is not totally necessary, as we are working with oil paint I suggest leaving it at the workspace for 3 - 5 days to allow sufficient dry time. PROVIDED BY THE WORKSHOP: All you need to bring is yourself!
All materials are supplied. We will be working with: oil paintlinseed oileco brush cleanerI will have paint brushes and paper supplied.It is important to me to work in the most ecologically friendly way possible. Therefore we will be straying away from traditional turpentine, using eco cleaning supplies and paying special attention to brush care and sustainability I do suggest wearing clothes you are not attached to. While we will be fairly clean and minimal with the paint, there is the off chance of getting a bit dirty. The Museum island is impressive, with amazing buildings hosting exhibitions of all kind. I was able to visit the Neues Museum and it was worth the visit, even walking in the morning, afternoon or night is a great experience. a lot of history!!

Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) is a famous Protestant church in Berlin, the German capital, located on the museum island in the center of the city, adjacent to the Spree River. This magnificent church is not only the religious center of Berlin, but also an important landmark and tourist attraction in the city. The history of the Berlin Cathedral dates back to the 15th century, when there was a smaller church at the same location. The existing cathedral was built from 1894 to 1905 under the orders of the German Emperor Wilhelm II to serve as the court church of the Hohenzollern family. The original church was demolished in the late 19th century to make way for a new, more grand church. The Berlin Cathedral was designed in Renaissance and Baroque style by architect Julius Raschdorf (Julius Raschdorff). Its gorgeous exterior and exquisite interiors reflect the characteristics of the new Baroque architecture. The church is 98 meters high and its green dome is an important part of the Berlin skyline. During World War II, the Berlin Cathedral was severely damaged, especially when an airstrike in 1944 caused the dome to partially collapse. After the war, the restoration of the church continued for decades, and was finally completed in 1993. ⛪️ The interior of the church is gorgeously decorated with many exquisite sculptures, paintings and mosaics. The altar paintings and pulpit on the central altar are particularly striking. ⛪️ Berlin Cathedral has a pipe organ built by William Sal (Wilhelm Sauer), one of the largest and most important historical pipe organs in the world. Visitors can climb 270 steps to the observation deck of the church dome, from which you can overlook the magnificent view of central Berlin.

The Brandenburg Gate, because of its special status in Berlin and even Germany, has become the venue for many celebrations in Germany. Every December 31, the open-air New Year&#39;s Eve party is held, and the square and the streets are crowded with people, and the stage is set up to hold a grand live performance to cheer, and people welcome the New Year together during the fireworks tour at midnight.
