Led by the talented Samantha Hughes, students will have the chance to sketch their own designs and then bring them to life as 3D portraits using plasticene, a soft polymer clay. 

Throughout the two-hour workshop, Sam will guide each student through drawing and sculpting techniques, ensuring that everyone leaves with their own unique drawings and a beautifully crafted portrait. This workshop is suitable for artists of all levels, so whether you're a budding Picasso or just starting out, you're sure to have a great time.

At the Numbats - Kids Art Workshop, everyone is welcome, regardless of physical or neurological diversity. If you have any special needs or require a carer, please let us know in advance so that we can accommodate you. Please note that the workshop will take place upstairs in the Paper Bird Gallery and that making art can be messy, so wearing old clothes or an art shirt is recommended. Additionally, a snack and water bottle is advised, as there will be a break halfway through the workshop.
