As Canadians, we come together during difficult times—and Nourish Our Neighbours is a celebration of that unity.
In 2023, Guelph Food Bank experienced a 53% increase in visits compared to 2022, serving over 3,000 unique individuals each month. Of those individuals served 36% were children. In January we served 4,000 people, and with the tariffs and insecurity in our manufacturing sector that number could increase drastically.
Your support can keep food on the table for workers experiencing layoffs, single mothers struggling to get by; seniors experiencing the prolonged effects of inflation; people living with disabilities; and injured workers on WSIB. We won’t turn anyone in need away, we’re here for everyone. That’s why we want you to join us in celebrating our community and together we can Nourish our Neighbours.
This lively two-day event features:
- An online silent auction (items are on display during the event)
- A fashion show by GCVI Cosmetology students
- Live music from KC Lee, Foundation Steppas, The Uke Jam Program, and The Silver Strummers
- A Kids’ Corner
- Games and activities for all ages
Your support will help provide vital food access to families, seniors, and young people across Guelph. We hope to see you May 24th and 25th!
