With a focus on jewelry and traditional Plateau twined basketry, Carly, a trained metalsmith, graduated from the Institute of American Indian Arts in 2016. Her exceptional work is showcased in esteemed museum collections such as the Heard Museum, Eiteljorg Museum, and more. Carly is one of the three annual artist-in-residence fellows at the Indian Arts Research Center, where she explores new creative avenues and enhances her skills.

The journey from Phoenix to Page passed three sections of geological landscape, with completely different vegetation. When I first left Phoenix, the road was full of this columnar cactus. With the increase of altitude, low shrub plants such as cactus disappeared, and the towering pine forest was taken, and finally the barren plateau with Danxia landform characteristics. Wonderful!
