These perennial mushrooms will produce for many years with minimal maintenance, making them perfect for gardeners of all experience levels, from novice to avid. The workshop combines explanation and demonstration, ensuring that you leave with all the knowledge needed to start your own mushroom garden. You'll also receive a step-by-step guide to take home and refer to as you begin your cultivation journey.
King Stropharia mushrooms are easily recognized by their vibrant, reddish-brown to purple-burgundy caps that lighten as they mature, and their thick, white stems, which often feature a ring near the top. The flavor and texture of wine cap mushrooms are often compared to portobellos—they have a mild, earthy taste with a meaty texture, but with a slightly sweeter and nuttier profile.
