Established in 2010 by a passionate group of Michigan State University Alumni, the San Antonio Spartans have grown significantly over the years.

The San Antonio Spartans are deeply committed to supporting education in the Bexar area. To that end, they have established two scholarships for local students attending MSU. Each fall, one new student and one current student are awarded scholarships based on financial need. No application is required, just the ambition to attend MSU.

At the game watch events, the San Antonio Spartans strive to provide comfortable seating and a great viewing experience, although availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. Arriving 15 minutes before the game is recommended for sign-in, name tag creation, and seat finding. During halftime, the game watch host will make announcements and randomly select guests for prize giveaways.

The San Antonio Spartans' dedication extends beyond basketball and scholarships. They actively contribute to the local community through volunteering efforts with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Haven for Hope, the Animal Defense League, the SA Food Bank, SA Parks & Recreation, and the Veteran's Administration.
