MPavilion 10 presents an engaging workshop called "Mapping With Touch" that offers a unique approach to map-making. Departing from traditional 2D mark-making, this workshop explores the use of texture and touch to create information. With a focus on material communications and the decision-making process, participants will examine the perspectives behind map creation and the individuals involved. Taking place at Alexandra Gardens, near MPavilion in Melbourne, this site-responsive workshop encourages participants to explore the surroundings, gathering objects of interest to incorporate into their own personal, site-specific map. Through the use of various mapping techniques and tools, including images, plain paper, seeds, and fabric, participants will delve into the sensory aspects of mapping and their connection to place. By transforming the paper into a 3D representation of the area, the workshop aims to provide a tactile experience that goes beyond the traditional flat map. "Mapping With Touch" is a result of the 2023 M_Curators program, which supports young and ambitious art, design, and creative workers. This program is made possible with the support of Bloomberg Philanthropies. Collaborators for this workshop include Makushla Harper, an emerging industrial designer; Joy Zhou, a transdisciplinary artist and design practitioner; and Giorgia Pisano, a design researcher, practitioner, and educator. The Melbourne Observation Deck is really good and worth visiting! Take the elevator to the 88th floor directly, only a few tens of seconds. Standing on the observation deck at an altitude of 300 meters, there is no dead angle in 360 degrees overlooking Melbourne, with a panoramic view of the city and the Yarra River. The Edge glass cube experience is super exciting, as if suspended in the air. The daytime, sunset and night scenes have their own advantages, which is worth a visit.

Melbourne Museum is amazing! The modern architecture contrasts with the classical Royal Exhibition Building. The exhibits are rich and varied, ranging from huge blue whale skeletons and dinosaur fossils to exquisite minerals and Aboriginal cultural exhibits. The interactive experience is also great, and children can learn while having fun. If you are tired of visiting, you can also watch IMAX movies, which is definitely worth the price.

SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium

Melbourne Aquarium is perfect for family outings and ocean lovers! There are more than 20 themed exhibition areas in the aquarium, where you can see giant manta rays and leopard sharks swimming in transparent tunnels up close, the little blue penguins on Penguin Island swaying and adorable, and there is a touch pool where you can touch starfish and sea cucumbers. The most stunning is the &quot;Deep Sea World&quot; exhibition area, where fish are surrounded in a huge cylindrical tank, as if you were at the bottom of the sea. There are also interactive screens and popular science explanations in the aquarium, where you can see the wonders and learn a lot after a round of fun. It is also very romantic to watch the lights on the aquarium&#39;s exterior wall light up at the pier in the evening~

Lovely place to walk past on the way to the Melbourne museum. This time of the year, there&rsquo;s autumn leaves covering the walkways. There is even a small pond with some ducks in the corner. And right in front of the royal exhibition hall, there is a fountain where sometimes you will catch couples taking their wedding photos here.
