Ojai is uniquely situated surrounded by mountains and is the starting point for the Mountains 2 Beach Marathon. This point-to-point race winds through the Ventura Valley to the pristine beaches of Ventura, California’s last surf town. Runners will love that 18 of the first 20 miles feature over 700 feet of net downhill, perfect for running faster without breaking your knees. After the first 6 miles of flat terrain at Ventura Beach, runners and their families will enjoy a finish party just steps from the surf and shops and restaurants of historic downtown Ventura. The course is lightning fast and is certified by USATF as a Boston Marathon qualifier (CA14064RS).
