Millwork Conversations Presented by Google is a highly anticipated event in Omaha, Nebraska that brings together the city's creators, innovators, artists, thought leaders, and activators. This happy hour chat series offers a unique opportunity for attendees to engage in compelling conversations with individuals from diverse communities, both locally and nationally. The aim is to inspire and challenge attendees to push beyond their perceived boundaries and explore new ideas. 

This December, Millwork Conversations is thrilled to feature Karen Borchert, the founder and CEO of Alpaca. With a background as COO of prominent technology companies, Karen's passion for supporting and investing in teachers led her to create a simple and impactful platform to help parents subscribe to their school. Alpaca now supports over 3,000 teachers each month by providing packs of supplies and appreciation, thanks to the support of parents, companies, and nonprofit organizations. With plans to expand to school districts across the country, Karen's unique model is making a significant impact in the education sector. 

The event will take place at 1229 Millwork Avenue in Omaha, with doors opening at 5:00pm. The conversation with Karen Borchert will kick off at 5:30pm, followed by a Q&A session at 6:00pm. Afterward, attendees are invited to stick around for a social hour at Kros Strain Draft Works, conveniently located next to The Dock at Millwork Commons.
