Middle-Prov is an improv comedy class specifically designed for middle school students in grades 5-8, aged 11-14. Led by experienced improv performer, teacher, and coach Ari Voukydis, this class offers a supportive and collaborative environment for students to hone their improvisation comedy skills. The class consists of four sessions, held on Sundays from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, starting on January 7th and ending on January 28th, 2024. The course concludes with a showcase on Sunday, January 28th at 1:00 PM, where students can demonstrate their progress to friends and family. The cost for the entire course is $200.

Ari Voukydis, the instructor for Middle-Prov, has an impressive background in both teaching and performing improv comedy. With over 20 years of experience in Los Angeles and New York, Ari has written for popular TV shows like SNL's Weekend Update and Ring Nation with Wanda Sykes. He has also made appearances on Conan, The Tonight Show, and various VH-1 pop culture shows. Furthermore, Ari is a published writer, having contributed to publications such as GQ, Esquire, and BuzzFeed. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife and comedy partner, Betsy Stover, and their children.

The Middle-Prov improv class takes place at the Lyric Hyperion Theater & Bar, located at 2106 Hyperion Avenue in Los Angeles, California. Easy street parking can be found on Griffith Park Blvd, just one street over from Hyperion Ave. As of now, no additional safety regulations are required for attendees, such as masking. However, if you are feeling unwell, it is recommended that you stay home. The venue operator should be contacted 48 hours in advance if an assisted listening device is needed. Refunds or exchanges are not available for this event.
