This class is perfect for beginners who are on a budget or have a small studio space. The focus of the class is the safety and use of the butane micro torch. This versatile tool is essential for any jewelry maker or metalworker. During the class, Christina will cover different options for butane torches and provide essential equipment for working with fire. Students will have the opportunity to work with sterling silver, fine silver, and copper, as well as learn valuable skills such as flame control, metal gauging, annealing, work hardening, flattening, texturing, and shaping wire. By the end of the class, students will leave with beautiful earrings and pendants in the metal of their choice. Please note that there is a kit fee of $10, payable to the instructor on the day of the class. All other tools will be provided for use. The class is limited to 6 students, so be sure to reserve your spot in advance. Safety measures will be in place, and masks are optional.
