Matt Fiddes is pleased to announce the upcoming Martial Arts Open Day in Thatcham. This event, held at the Kennet Leisure Centre on January 21, 2024, offers an exciting opportunity for individuals to have fun and develop new skills. Best of all, attendance is completely free!

Teaming up with Everyone Active, Matt Fiddes has organized a morning of free activities that cater to all abilities. Participants can choose from four 45-minute sessions, with the option to attend one or multiple sessions. Led by our talented Instructor team, these sessions provide a fantastic chance to learn something new while enjoying a thrilling experience.

The first session, from 09:00 to 09:45, focuses on balance and co-ordination through Martial Arts for 3-6-year-olds. In this engaging session, children will learn fundamental skills and enhance their balance and co-ordination through Martial Arts techniques.

From 09:45 to 10:30, Juniors and Adults aged 7 years and above can participate in the Martial Arts Fundamentals session. This class offers an introduction to the basics of Martial Arts, including stances and basic techniques, in a supportive and unpressurized environment.

Next, from 10:30 to 11:15, the Pads & Fitness session is perfect for Juniors and Adults aged 7 years and above. This class combines Martial Arts-themed fitness with techniques for hitting Martial Arts Focus Pads. It's an excellent opportunity for all fitness levels to engage in a fun and energizing workout.

Finally, from 11:15 to 12:00, the Self Defence session is designed for Juniors and Adults aged 11 years and above. Participants will learn valuable self-defence techniques, including knife defence, to enhance personal safety and confidence. The session also offers tips on avoiding potentially dangerous situations.
