Masterclass with Bethan M. Hughes: Contemporary quilting and stitching 16/02/25 10 .00am - 4.00pm This workshop will be delivered in Welsh £60 (Includes all materials and tea and coffee) Age group – Adults Location: Education Room Using Bethan’s exhibition in Gallery 2 as inspiration, the masterclass will explore contemporary use of quilting and stitch as a means of creative expression. You will work in a free and improvisational way to mark, join and quilt cloth, working by hand or with a sewing machine. For those who are confident hand or machine stitchers. All materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring you own personal sewing kit (small scissors for snipping threads, thimble, hand sewing needles, pins etc) Sewing machines can be provided but you are welcome to bring your own. You will need a free-machine embroidery foot and be able to drop the machine’s feed dogs for free-machining.
