Hundreds of cyclists are invited to participate in the Mass rides for A26 cycleways event, demanding a dedicated cycleway between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. The mass rides will take place on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 6:30 pm. Two groups will convene at different locations - one group in Tunbridge Wells, cycling from the Millennium Clock to Southborough Common, and the other group in Tonbridge (route to be confirmed). The event will feature a brief update on the campaign's progress and is expected to last approximately 90 minutes. The mass cycles aim to showcase a vision of safer, healthier, and more environmentally friendly travel for the community. Participants of all backgrounds, including children, are encouraged to attend to support the cause. The event seeks to raise awareness and garner public support for dedicated cycleways along the A26, benefiting cyclists, motorists, and the community at large.
