General members of the public can visit the Amanda McCrann Mosaic Experience website to purchase their tickets for admission. The experience will begin at the house desk, just prior to the start time, and we will make our way to the entrance hall at Manchester Art Gallery. This iconic venue serves as the perfect meeting point, where we will be greeted by the sight of several bees scattered throughout the gallery. During the tour, Amanda will provide insights into the significance of the Manchester bee, as well as its connection to the Industrial Revolution and Cottonopolis. We will also have the opportunity to admire the exquisite William De Morgan Victorian tiles and Pre-Raphaelite Art. Our next stop will be the Waterhouse Pub, where we will pay tribute to the renowned architect Alfred Waterhouse, who designed the gothic-style masterpiece that is Manchester Town Hall. Here, we will marvel at the incredible bee mosaic floor. As we continue our walk around the exterior of the Town Hall, we will pass through Library Walk. Here, you will be able to observe the cotton flower mosaic floor and spot even more worker bees. Following this insightful tour, the workshop will commence, offering you the chance to create your very own bee mosaic. All the necessary materials will be provided, and Amanda will be on hand to guide you through the process, sharing her expertise and tips to help you create the best possible mosaic.
